Window Jambs are the components of the window frame that surround and support the window. This frame consists of two sides (vertical) and one head (horizontal) jamb and a sill component.
Sash refers to the moving parts of a window within the frame. There are many different types of sash such as single or double hung, casement, awning, and sliding.
